World of Warcraft Forever
WoW: Forever is coming. Here's what it means for PvPGuild
Updated September 19, 2026. Details are still changing during the beta, so check back.
Blizzard's Classic+ is real. World of Warcraft: Forever is built on the vanilla experience with new zones, quests, dungeons, raids and systems, and it's meant as a permanent home rather than a temporary season. It adds a new elven race, the Skyborne, plus expanded race and class combinations like Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin.
The beta started September 17 and launch is November 4, 2026.
The PvP picture
- No realms. You choose a ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplaying or Hardcore) instead of a server, and there's no grouping across rulesets. That decides where a guild lives, so we need to pick before launch.
- Battlegrounds. The original battlegrounds return, joined by Darkspear Islands, a 15v15 map with Eye of the Storm rules and Arathi Basin-style flags.
- Honor. Blizzard confirmed a seasonal ranking track that can reach Rank 14 within a season or patch cycle. Exact honor requirements aren't published yet. The first season refresh is expected in spring 2027, so early ranks won't last forever.
- Ranked PvP. Blizzard reportedly said there will be no rated PvP in the current design.
Our plan
- Name reservation runs October 27 through November 3. We'll post the guild name and roster names before then.
- [Recruitment / premade schedule / Discord channel]
- [Which classes we're short on]
Expect a rough launch. The beta servers buckled under demand on day one, and November 4 will probably be worse.
