Eve Online's recent mining changes focus on adding new functionalities in nullsec rather than core mechanic changes:

• Automated Moon Mining: The "Equinox" expansion introduced Upwell structures for nullsec, including the Metenox Moon Drill. This allows for automated harvesting of moon resources.
• Planetary Resource Harvesting: Upwell also introduced the Orbital Skyhook which enables the harvesting of planetary resources in nullsec.

While these are significant changes for nullsec miners, there haven't been major updates to core mining mechanics recently.
